Postcard Delight presents this postcard of Mudbeggars at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. As Judy told us at the back of this postcard: "They are stage actors who perform old fairy tales about 10~15 minutes a piece. Somehow those tales go horribly wrong and the actors end up splashing in a mud pit! The whole scene is quite funny and wild."

Renaissance Faire is a funfair which emulates a historic period with abundance of costumed entertainers, musical and theatrical acts for the amusement of its vistors. It is a popular weekend gathering in various places in the United States.

Postcard Delight presents this postcard of the snow-covered Ostankino Palace, on the right, and the Trinity Church, to the left. The Trinitiy Church is the oldest five-domed temple built with red bricks by Princess Tcherkassky in 1678 to 1683.

Ostankino Palace was constructed from 1792 to 1798 entirely of wood by the Count Nikolay Petrovich Sheremetev as once his summer residence and private opera theatre, and now a museum in the northern part of Moscow close to the Kremlin. It is the world's third largest wooden building after Todai-ji, 東大寺 or Eastern Great Temple, a Buddhist temple in Nara, Japan and Old Government Buildings in Wellington, New Zealand.

Postcrossing GB-192241 from U.K.



Postcard Delight presents this postcard of a British historic barque, a type of sailing ship, named Cromdale wrecked in 1913, without loss of life, off the Lizard in thick fog while carrying nitrates from Chile. The Lizard is a peninsula, in south Cornwall jutting into the English Channel, with coast full of cliffs and underwater reefs which posed hazardous to shipping.
