Postcard Delight presents this postcard of the snow-covered Ostankino Palace, on the right, and the Trinity Church, to the left. The Trinitiy Church is the oldest five-domed temple built with red bricks by Princess Tcherkassky in 1678 to 1683.
Ostankino Palace was constructed from 1792 to 1798 entirely of wood by the Count Nikolay Petrovich Sheremetev as once his summer residence and private opera theatre, and now a museum in the northern part of Moscow close to the Kremlin. It is the world's third largest wooden building after Todai-ji, 東大寺 or Eastern Great Temple, a Buddhist temple in Nara, Japan and Old Government Buildings in Wellington, New Zealand.
